EVENT DESCRIPTION

Join us for a special webinar with Shannon Scott to explore photo vs. story:

  • Are you just taking a picture, or telling a meaningful story?
  • See what makes a good picture compared to a bad picture.
  • Get tips on what works and what doesn't.
  • Find out how to draw people into your photo, your story and ultimately, your Village...

Who is Shannon Scott?

Shannon Scott is a right brained soul caught up in the left brained world of accounting and finance.  After many years in both public accounting and the private sector, Shannon found her niche in the not-for-profit world.  While at NCB Capital Imapct, she attended school at night and received her certificate from the Washington School of Photography.  She was able to showcase her skills in their annual reports, relevant publications and helped craft their initial online video strategy.  As Chair of the Diversity Committee, she published a book called "What's your Story? Getting Down to the Heart of the Matter" which contained photos and stories from NCB Capital staff.  Shannon has also assisted in photography and videography for Village to Village Network.

Shannon currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Council on Foundations and continues to find time for photography.
