RunMyVillage User Talk - 3 PM ET/ 2PM CT/ 1 PM MT/ 12PM PT

Not sure if your Village should purchase ClubExpress’ “new” Ad Hoc Report Writer announced this summer?  …you might find the November 21 User Talk about it informative and useful.

In talking to Villages, we’ve found that some Villages think the Report Writer will be too hard to use, others think they have all the information they need now, and still others think the Report Writer is too expensive.  Yet, shared reports (from a library that CE/RMV will maintain) might make some reports very easy to use for your Village, seeing the information that other Villages are providing to their management using the Report Writer might give you ideas for your Village, and the annual fee of $200 to use the base functionality with an additional annual fee of $100 fee to enable scheduled reports might represent a good investment in time/effort for your Village.

So, the November 21 User Talk (3pm Eastern; noon Pacific) will bring you up to date on the Ad Hoc Report Writer’ status.  This will NOT be a demo on how to use it, but rather “what we’ve learned and what is being planned” – showing some of the reports that have been developed to date and what’s possible to develop; the key learning and benefits; some limitations; and what is the CE/RMV shared library, how it will work, and how your Village can use it.  There will be time for questions…we encourage you to be ready to ask questions about how the report writer might help your Village retrieve information they you’ve wanted from CE/RMV but been unable to easily or quickly access (even better, send these questions to rmvusers@vtvnetwork.orgbefore the User Talk so we can think about them).

Please invite anyone from your Village who you think will be interested in learning about the template.

These monthly talks are designed to help Villages use RunMyVillage more effectively.  Each month has a different topic.  The intended audience always includes the technology community within your Village; in addition, others in the Village may be invited based on the planned topic.  Each of the User Talks has time for Villages to ask RunMyVillage-related questions to RMV and to other Villages. Examples of what we plan for these talks: RMV new release updates and discussions, results of surveys of desired enhancements to RMV, discussion of best practices and common issues particularly where Villages use RMV is different ways, and orientations for new Villages.   If you have ideas for topics, email us atRMVusers@vtvnetwork.org
