Community Care Corps RFP Information - 2 PM ET - 1 PM CT - 12 PM MT - 11 AM PT

As previously announced, on January 15, the Community Care Corps released an RFP for a new federal grant program funded by the Administration on Community Living. They are seeking proposals for innovative local models in which volunteers assist family caregivers or directly assist older adults with non-medical care in order to maintain their independence. They will fund the expansion of existing programs as well as new programs.

There is $3.8 million in federal funding available this year. Awards are anticipated to be in the range of $30K - $250K for a 12 month grant period. A 25% match in cash or in-kind is required. The on-line application period is February 10 through April 3. Grant awards will be made in June. Organizations with an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status are eligible to apply.

What better alignment of purpose than with the Village Movement! To learn more and to download the RFP, click on www.CommunityCareCorps.org. There will be two more RFP information webinars on February 25 and March 17. This website provides webinar details.

VtVN is hosting a webinar about this grant opportunity on March 2 at 2pm ET. Please note that this is a date change from our previous announcement.  We will provide a summary of RFP requirements, discuss the application process and answer questions. You must register by February 24 to receive the VtVN-prepared Compliance Checklist prior to the webinar. This document can aid in managing the preparation of an application as well as a means to check that it is complete. We encourage participants to submit questions in advance to vtv@vtvnetwork.org. We will also take questions during the webinar. We will distribute a summary of the questions and answers to participants after the webinar.

To register for the webinar, please log in to the VtVN website and go to the Calendar. Follow the instructions on registration.
