Dr. Kerry will be giving an insightful presentation on aging and the physical, cognitive, and emotional health impacts older adults experience, as well as the risk factors associated with each. She will offer strategies to guide families and their loved ones as they face the challenges that lie ahead.

Dr. Kerry Burnight Bio:
One of the nation’s leading gerontologists, Dr. Kerry serves as an expert on aging and social isolation. She was recognized for her work by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2011 (U.S. Victims of Crime Award) and founded Ageless Alliance in 2012, a non-profit to address elder abuse, as well as the first Elder Abuse Forensic Center in the nation in 2013. After serving as a Professor of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at the University of California Irvine, Kerry joined GrandPad to use technology to combat one of the most significant risk factors for elders: social isolation.
